it doesnt take that long to get a crobat if u have a lucky egg put it on the golbat and battle with it

if it's happiness, feed it lots of berries/haircuts/pokewalk it etc.
until it loves you and get it a level up

Awhile, around a dozen or so levels if you don't do anything extra.
If you give it a message and walk it around in the Pokewalker, it's happiness increases a lot.
